What's all the Fuss in T-Town?

To get an idea of how idyllic and relaxed things are in Tacoma, you will have to go back in time. Think Ballard circa 1975. We have long cherished our working waterfront and blue collar mentality. It’s a tough town, but we get one foot closer to cosmopolis every year. We chose to preserve one of the longest, unobstructed and publicly accessible urban shorelines in the U.S. At more than seven miles, the eventual pedestrian trail system will take citizens from the end of Thea Foss to the beaches at Point Defiance. 
Our citizens paid for the bandwidth infrastructure that could soon make Tacoma one of the few 1 gig networks in the country. The first New Tech Tacoma meeting took place recently and more than 80 people from all points of the compass turned out.
